Our Clinical Nurse Leader role provides Registered Nurses the opportunity to utilize their leadership skills while also being a part of the bedside care team. This is a 39 bed unit. The Cardiac Medical Unit offers 2 private Bariatric rooms, 7 semi-private rooms and 25 private rooms. The unit is fast paced with staff that are highly motivated, patient focused and team players. The patient to nurse ratio is 1:5 for both days and night. We require ACLS and BLS certification along with EKG competency. We specialize in cardiac conditions and care for patients with: heart failure; heart rhythm problems; chest pain and breathing problems associated with heart problems. Cardiac Medical also cares for patients who are waiting for coronary artery bypass surgery, cardiac testing or procedures like pacemaker insertions, and ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator) insertions. Pre and post cardiac catheterization (right and left). We also specialize in taking care of patients pre/post Structural Heart procedures – TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement), Mitral Clips and Watchman. Medical overflow can occur on this unit as well.
Requirements
Education: Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program.
Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience in an acute care setting required. Two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Licensure or Certification: Current RN licensure permitting work in the state of Arizona, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Additional certifications may be required per department.
