  • Perform rapid triage, focused assessments, and individualized plans of care; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient goals.
  • Initiate and manage IV therapies, cardiac/respiratory monitoring, medication administration, and ED protocols (sepsis, stroke, STEMI, trauma activation per policy).
  • Support throughput (bed assignment/turnover) and operational flow.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to ongoing readiness for survey and regulatory standards.

About Abrazo Peoria Emergency Center

Our Peoria Emergency Center is a modern, freestanding ED designed for rapid access to emergency care and seamless transfer when higher levels of care are needed as part of the Abrazo network. It features on-site diagnostics and is aligned with Abrazo Arrowhead Campus for continuity of care.

Position summary

Provide professional, compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse, age-varied population. Collaborate with physicians, EMS, and ancillary teams to deliver safe, efficient care. Serve as a clinical resource during the night shift, participate in quality/safety initiatives, and—when assigned—function as charge RN. Practice is guided by the nursing process, evidence-based standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Special skills
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; strong customer service.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with periods of high acuity/volume.
    • Strongly preferred: recent experience in Emergency or ICU settings.
  • Minimum Requirements
    • Education : Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
    • Experience: 1 year of recent acute care experience (ED or ICU). Licensure/Certifications
    • Current RN license in the State of Arizona (or compact).
    • BLS
    • ACLS required upon completion of orientation.
    • PALS or ENPC required (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
